This is a letter regarding James Steven Farnsworth whom we hired to play the violin at my father's burial last March. As it turned out James Steven was instrumental with our grieving process; he went above and beyond in serving us.
First of all he was ready and set up about twenty minutes before our appointment time, which was a blessing since we arrived early and having no minister or real plans for the interment, I felt his being early a real asset so he could set the tone both literally and figuratively for the event. Things started to go from sad to unreal when my father’s body arrived about 90 minutes late for the ceremony. My entire family was irate, frustrated and angry; as having a burial without a body seemed to be somewhat out of the norm.
James Steven Farnsworth played the music perfectly, with all our predetermined songs and arrangements. More importantly for our family, he acted as a buffer for our souls in this time of intense grief. He was as a friend, a counselor, a supporter. James Steven was flexible and easily handled this emergency with poise, confidence and compassion.
If it were not for him, it would have been a much more difficult day.
I would MOST highly recommend James Steven Farnsworth to play at any and all events both happy and sad.
Sincerely,
David D. Kline
